About the Show
A Community Target was a verbatim community theatre production by playwright Robert Motum about the sharp rise and sharper fall of the Target Canada department stores. The piece is lifted from dozens of interviews with former Target customers and employees, from cashiers all the way to the CEO and everyone in between.
The co-production between Outside the March and Convergence Theatre saw over 30 community members perform the play in immersive style all over Toronto’s historic Regent Theatre, a nod to the piece’s documentary style.
